AIR FRYER PORK CHOPS

Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops (about 1-1 ½ inches thick)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or olive oil spray
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  • Pat dry the pork chops. Then, rub them with olive oil.
  • Add the smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to a bowl and thoroughly mix.
  • Evenly coat both sides of the pork chops with the seasoning mixture.
  • For easy cleanup, add a parchment paper liner to your air fryer basket. Then, add the seasoned pork chops to the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry the pork chops at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • Let the pork chops rest for 3-5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes

  • Italian Seasoning Substitution: If you don’t have Italian seasoning, substitute it with 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme and 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano.
  • Batches: Air fry the pork chops in batches if you are making more or if they both don’t fit in the air fryer basket with enough room for the hot air to circulate properly.
  • Air Frying Time: For thin pork chops about 1-1 ½ inches thick, air fry them at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until fully cooked. For thicker pork chops or bone-in pork chops, you will need to increase the cooking time by 3-5 minutes, or until they are fully cooked and have reached an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Meat Thermometer: Use a meat thermometer to check that the pork chops are fully cooked before serving. They are fully cooked when they have reached an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Bake Option: If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake the pork chops on a baking sheet in the oven at 400°F. Cook boneless pork chops for 18-20 minutes, or bone-in pork chops for 20-22 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
