Servings: 1 serving
- 1 chocolate protein shake of choice
- 1/4 cup PB2 or PBfit (powdered peanut butter)
- 1 tablespoon chocolate instant pudding mix or 1 teaspoon sugar-free instant pudding mix optional
- 1 teaspoon Dutch-processed cocoa powder optional
- 1 tablespoon milk of choice optional
- 1 teaspoon mini chocolate peanut butter cups or mini chocolate chips optional
Thoroughly whisk together the chocolate protein shake, powdered peanut butter, optional chocolate instant pudding mix, and optional cocoa powder.
Pour the whisked mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Place the lid on the container and freeze it for 24 hours.
Once frozen and ready to turn it into ice cream, remove the container from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Remove the lid of the container and if there is a peak, use a spoon to scrape it off so there is a smooth surface.
Secure the container in the Ninja Creami machine. Then, press the Lite Ice Cream button. After the first spin, the mixture may be powdery, so as an option, add a splash of your milk of choice. Then, spin again on Lite Ice Cream. After two spins, the mixture should be creamy and thick, if not, spin it again.
You can use the mix-in feature to mix in mini chocolate peanut butter cups, or add them on top and serve.
- Freeze The Mixture: Make sure to freeze the mixture in the pint container for at least 24 hours.
- Splash Of Milk: After the first spin, add a splash of milk before spinning again. This helps it achieve a creamy more ice cream-like consistency.
- Spin It Twice: The protein ice cream may appear powdery after the first spin in the Ninja Creami machine. This is normal, just add a splash of milk and spin it again.
