- 1 large piece of bread, low-carb bread, or flatbread
- 2 tablespoons marinara sauce or pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon roasted garlic optional
- 1/3 cup light mozzarella cheese or cheese of choice
- 1 small tomato, sliced, optional
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- crushed red pepper flakes optional
Place the piece of bread on a sheet pan and lightly toast it in the oven for a few minutes so your pizza toast has a crispy crust.
Carefully remove the sheet pan from the oven. Add the marinara sauce and optional roasted garlic to the toasted bread. Then, add the cheese, sliced tomato, and your favorite toppings.
Bake the pizza toast at 400°F for 7-10 minutes. Once done, top with fresh chopped basil and optional crushed red pepper flakes. Let it slightly cool and serve immediately.
- Toast: Use a slice of your favorite bread, low-carb bread, low-carb tortilla, or flatbread.
