Servings: 4 burgers
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh spinach
- 3.5 ounces crumbled light feta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Add the ground turkey, finely chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to a large bowl.
Mix thoroughly to combine the burger mixture in the bowl.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and press down to form patties.
Heat a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly spray with olive oil.
Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through, when the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Serve the cooked patties on your favorite buns, top with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
- Topping Ideas: Some delicious toppings are thinly sliced red onions, sliced tomatoes, extra crumbled feta cheese, special sauce, tzatziki sauce, or ketchup.
- Frozen Spinach: If you don’t have fresh spinach, you can use frozen spinach instead. Just make sure to thaw the frozen spinach and squeeze the excess moisture out.
- Ground Turkey: Use 99% fat-free ground turkey breast for a leaner option or 93% lean ground turkey for a bit more juiciness. Or, you can substitute the ground turkey with lean ground chicken or ground chicken breast if preferred.
- Feta Cheese: You can use regular feta, light feta, or fat-free feta.
