Expert Tips

  • Evenly Distributed Flavors: Finely chop the spinach and ensure the feta is fully crumbled with no large chunks. You can crumble a block of feta yourself or use pre-crumbled feta. This helps the flavors blend evenly throughout each burger.
  • Don’t Over-Mix: Gently combine the ingredients to avoid tough burgers. Overmixing can lead to a dense texture.
  • How to Press Patties Easily and Evenly: Divide the mixture into four equal-sized balls and place them on a piece of parchment paper. Cover with another piece of parchment, then place a cutting board on top and press down. This helps create uniform patties quickly and easily. It’s such a game-changer that makes it much easier!

Serving Suggestions

Serve these burgers on your favorite buns. Some great options are brioche, whole wheat, or gluten-free. Or, for a lighter, low-carb option, serve them in lettuce wraps. Enjoy these burgers as is, or top with thinly sliced red onions, sliced juicy tomatoes, or extra crumbled feta cheese. We also like to spread some healthy Big Mac sauce, tzatziki sauce, healthy sriracha mayo, or classic ketchup on ours. Feel free to mix and match your favorite toppings to make it your own.

We like to serve these burgers with a side salad like our strawberry spinach goat cheese salad or Mediterranean chickpea salad. Or, serve them with a side of air fryer sweet potato wedges, air fryer zucchini fries, or homemade onion rings!

Storage Instructions

Store leftover cooked turkey patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Add the burger bun just before serving to keep it from getting soggy.

I made these tonight for the first time, and while they are easy to prep and absolutely delicious, 1 tsp of salt is too much with all the feta, and my family found them too salty. I will definitely put this in my rotation, and I will make it again, but I’m going to leave out the salt.
