Expert Tips
- Drain the Tuna: Drain the canned tuna. Then, place the drained tuna on paper towels and roll to remove excess water. Or, you can squeeze the excess water out of the drained tuna with your hands. You want to remove the excess water so the breadcrumbs and eggs bind the tuna patties together.
- Bake the Patties: Bake these tuna patties in the oven. Don’t fry them in a pan or put them in the air fryer, as they may fall apart. They work out perfectly and hold their shape on a baking sheet in the oven.
- Chill the Mixture: If you have time, chill the mixture in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes before shaping the patties. It makes it easier to form the patties.
