The Best Smoked Salmon Dip

This is the best creamy smoked salmon dip with cream cheese and Greek yogurt. It’s a quick, crowd-pleasing appetizer for gatherings, brunch, or snack boards.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces light cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup plain 0-fat Greek yogurt
  • 4 ounces smoked salmon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper or to taste

Instructions

  • Soften the Cream Cheese: Let your cream cheese sit out at room temperature for a few minutes so it blends easily.
  • Add Everything to a Food Processor: Add the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, smoked salmon, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to a food processor.
  • Blend: Pulse until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed. Taste and adjust the seasoning, add a little extra lemon or dill if you want more brightness.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Scoop this smoked salmon dip into a bowl and serve it with crackers, cucumbers, veggies, toast, or bagels.

  • Greek Yogurt Options: You can use any plain Greek yogurt for this recipe, whether it’s fat-free, 2%, or regular.
  • Greek Yogurt Swap: If you don’t have Greek yogurt, swap it with cottage cheese! You can use fat-free, low-fat, or full-fat cottage cheese.
  • Cream Cheese to Use: We used light cream cheese, but fat-free or regular will work as well.
