  • Use Your Favorite Gravy: This recipe comes together quickly, especially if you use your favorite store-bought gravy.

How To Store and Reheat

To Store: Store fully cooked leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

To Reheat: You can reheat it in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes in an oven-safe container. Or, reheat it in the microwave until warm.

Variations

  • What Type Of Onion: We used a sweet onion because of its mild and slightly sweet flavor. A white onion will also work.
  • Shred The Chicken: You can serve the fully cooked chicken whole or shredded. If you want to shred the chicken, remove it from the slow cooker once it is fully cooked. Then, place it on a cutting board and shred it with two forks. Then, add the shredded chicken back to the slow cooker, mix, and serve.
  • Use Dried Or Fresh Herbs: We used dried herbs in this recipe. If you have fresh herbs, you can finely chop them and use them in this recipe. We added thyme, sage, and rosemary for flavor.
