Hi thank you for all the great recipes just found your site ,I was wondering could I use 1 percent or 2 percent milk not a fan of the almound milk etc.tks again peggy
Would the pts be the same
Hi Peggy, you can absolutely use 1 or 2 percent milk in this recipe. The reason we used almond milk is because it is low in points. You can’t taste it in this recipe. However, if you want to use regular milk I would recommend using 1 percent milk or non-fat milk as the points will be lower than 2 percent. I believe it adds 1 point to the recipe but I would recommend changing it in the app for the milk that you used so the points are correct for you. I hope this helps and you enjoy the mug cake!
I can’t believe how good this turned out! I’m kind of obsessed, definitely making this again! thank you for sharing 🙏
Hi Aria, I am so happy you enjoyed the chocolate mug cake and that you are planning to make it again! Thank you so much for leaving a review! 🙂
Ooh! Turned out so good despite a lot of modifications! I don’t have non-dairy milk so I used regular cow’s milk. Used regular chocolate chips because I don’t have mini, I only used 1.5 tablespoons of white sugar because I have a super bland palate than most people and I don’t require regular amounts of sugar. I used my homemade applesauce so it’s not as fine as the store-bought stuff. I was browsing chocolate mug cake recipes but I wanted to use my homemade applesauce and when I saw that this is also chocolate, I was so sold out! 😂 But screen kept darkening and my phone turning off so that was super annoying. Please consider adding a button that would prevent darkening of phone screen. Other than that, recipe is 10/10! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Michelle, I absolutely love all the modifications you made to this chocolate mug cake! Your homemade applesauce must have added such a lovely touch of natural flavor (and I bet it was delicious!). I’m so glad it turned out great even with your swaps. Also, I totally get the struggle with the screen going dark mid-recipe. I’ll definitely look into adding a screen lock feature, that’s such a helpful suggestion, thanks for letting us know. Thank you so much for the sweet feedback and for giving the recipe a try!
