Can You Microwave This Mug Cake?
Yes, this cinnamon roll mug cake can be made in the microwave. We prefer baking it in the oven because microwaves have a tendency to make mug cakes chewy. If you want to make this mug cake in the microwave it will take 1 minute – 1 minute and 15 seconds to cook. We recommend not overmixing the batter for a microwave mug cake that isn’t chewy.
How Long To Bake The Mug Cake
We love baking this cinnamon roll mug cake in the oven. This mug cake takes 15-18 minutes to bake in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. It is done when a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cake. Also, make sure to use an oven-safe ramekin and place it on a baking sheet before it goes into the oven. Once slightly cooled, we love to enjoy this mug cake warm!
Tips For Cinnamon Roll Mug Cake
Sift The Flour
We have found that it is best to sift the flour in this recipe. This helps remove any lumps and makes it easier to mix all of the ingredients together. This is important as you don’t want to overmix the batter. Also, this will make the cake fluffier.
Don’t Overmix The Batter
Make sure not to overmix the batter for this cinnamon roll mug cake. You want all of the ingredients to be combined, especially the 0-fat Greek yogurt, but you don’t want to overmix. Overmixing can cause mug cakes to become chewy and makes them less airy.
