What Are Carrot Chips?
Carrot chips are thinly sliced carrot pieces that have ridges and are shaped like chips. You can find carrot chips at the grocery store that are already sliced and ready to go. If you don’t have pre-sliced carrot chips, you can peel and thinly slice whole carrots. Or, for another option, try our air fryer carrots!
Key Ingredients

- Carrot Chips: Use store-bought carrot chips or peel and thinly slice whole carrots.
- Oil Spray: Lightly spray the carrot chips with olive oil so the seasonings stick.
- Seasonings: Season the carrot chips with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Substitutions & Variations
- Use Whole Carrots Instead: If you don’t have carrot chips, you can use whole carrots instead. Peel and slice the carrots about 1/4 inch thick.
- Add Smoked Paprika: Smoked paprika is optional. We love the smoky and slightly spicy flavor it adds to these carrot chips!
- Oil to Use: Lightly spray the carrot chips with olive oil or avocado oil.
How To Make Air Fryer Carrot Chips

- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Peel and slice carrots about 1/4 inch thick, or use pre-chopped carrot chips. Then, pat the carrot chips dry with paper towels.

- Add the carrot chips to a large bowl and lightly spray them with olive oil. We used this oil sprayer. Then, add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. From there, toss the carrots in the seasonings until evenly coated.

- Place the seasoned carrot chips in the air fryer basket.

- Air fry the carrot chips and shake the basket halfway through. Once done, carefully remove them from the air fryer and enjoy.
How Long To Cook Carrot Chips in the Air Fryer
Air fry carrot chips for 10-12 minutes at 375°F (190°C). Preheat your air fryer beforehand and shake the air fryer basket halfway through cooking the carrot chips.
Expert Tips
- Pat Dry the Carrots: Use paper towels to pat dry the carrots so the oil and seasonings stick to them.
- Don’t Overcrowd: Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. Arrange the carrot chips in a single layer so they cook evenly.
- Evenly Coat: Gently spray the carrot chips with olive oil and evenly toss them in the seasonings.
Serving Suggestions
Once air-fried, carefully transfer the carrot chips to a plate or bowl for serving. Enjoy them on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce. We served them with our buffalo ranch sauce! They also make a delicious side dish to serve with healthy chicken burgers.

Can You Air Fry Carrot Chips?
Yes, you can air-fry carrot chips! They are easy to make and cook quickly in the air fryer.
Why Are My Air Fryer Chips Not Crispy?
