How To Make Healthy Deviled Eggs

Ingredients for the healthy deviled eggs

To make these healthy deviled eggs start by perfectly hard-boiling your eggs. We used six eggs in this recipe. Also, we have a blog post and video dedicated to showing you how to make perfect soft-boiled to hard-boiled eggs on the stovetop or in the Instant Pot. After you have hard-boiled the eggs, cut them in half.

Then, scoop out all of the egg yolks and place them in a bowl. Add the 0 fat Greek yogurt, light mayonnaise, stone-ground mustard, and some salt and pepper to the bowl. Also, another super flavorful option is to add 1 TSP of the Spice House Lake Shore Drive Shallot & Herb Seasoning or your favorite spice combination. We recommend trying it out, and if you do, you don’t need to add the salt and pepper. Both of these work great and we love giving you options! Next, mash the egg yolks with a fork and combine all of the ingredients in the bowl.

Once the ingredients are more combined, use a spatula to finish mixing them until the filling is creamy and all of the ingredients are combined. After, use a piping bag or a plastic bag as a piping bag to pipe the filling into the deviled eggs. Or, use a spoon to add the filling to the eggs.

What Toppings Should You Add to the Deviled Eggs?

Feel free to add any toppings you would like to these deviled eggs and enjoy! We like adding combinations of chives, bacon, and smoked paprika to our deviled eggs. Let us know what you like to add to your deviled eggs in the comments below!

A Few Notes & Tips

How To Get Extra Creamy Deviled Eggs

If you want the filling extra creamy and smooth you can mix the ingredients with a hand mixer.

How To Balance The Greek Yogurt Flavor in the Deviled Eggs

I really like adding 1 TBSP of light mayonnaise to the 0 fat Greek yogurt because I feel like it helps balance the taste and tartness of the Greek yogurt. Feel free to leave the mayonnaise out, but I feel that it helps with the overall flavor. Also, you don’t even taste the Greek yogurt if you add the mayonnaise because it balances everything and all of the other flavors come through. Ella didn’t notice the Greek yogurt at all and she loved that these deviled eggs were still incredibly delicious but lightened up!
