How To Enjoy This Healthy Bacon and Chive Dip
This healthy bacon and chive dip is perfect for an afternoon snack, an appetizer, or to spread on a sandwich or wrap. It is a great alternative to mayonnaise as it adds so much flavor without all of the fat! One of our favorite ways to enjoy this dip is with cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes.

How To Make Healthy Bacon and Chive Dip

Start by prepping all of the ingredients for this dip. First, finely chop your chives into little pieces.

After chopping the chives, start chopping your turkey bacon into tiny pieces. Then, put the turkey bacon into a pan. Make sure to cook your turkey bacon until it is crispy.

Next, transfer your turkey bacon to a paper towel and let it cool.

Next, finely chop your onions. After that, get ready to saute your onions in a pan on medium heat. Also, make sure to spray the pan lightly with oil and then add in the chopped onions. The onions will be done cooking when they are translucent. Then, add garlic to the pan and cook it. By adding garlic at the end it ensures that the garlic won’t burn.

In a large bowl, combine the 0 fat greek yogurt, mayonnaise, salt, onions, garlic, bacon, and chives. Mix all of the ingredients together and transfer the dip to a container with a lid and refrigerate the dip overnight.

A Few Notes & Tips
Fage 0 Fat Greek Yogurt
I’ve tried most 0 fat greek yogurts and I have found that the one I keep coming back to and that I like the most is Fage 0 fat greek yogurt. The consistency of this yogurt seems to be a bit thicker than others and when I have taste-tested side by side with other yogurts, I found this one to be less tart and creamier. Also, keep in mind that once you start using it there may be some liquid forming in the yogurt, so just be sure to dump the excess liquid.
Refrigerate This Healthy Bacon and Chive Dip Overnight For Best Flavor
This dip is full of amazing flavors from the onion, turkey bacon, garlic, and chives. I find that putting the dip in the refrigerator overnight allows the flavors to blend together and optimizes them.
How To Get Extra Crunchy Vegetables
Some things that help me stay on track when eating healthy are having my vegetables already cleaned, cut, and ready to eat. After they are cleaned and cut, I immerse them in water in a container with a lid and then place them in the refrigerator to chill. This keeps them crisp, crunchy, and fresh. Also, make sure to change the water they are soaking in every day until you are done eating them. This method works especially well with cucumbers, carrots, and celery.
