Ella and I have been enjoying this granita all the time because it’s incredibly flavorful and easy to make. We added some frozen strawberries and lime to this recipe because they complement the flavor of the watermelon and bring this granita to another level. This easy watermelon granita is the best healthy and delicious treat! All you need to make it is a blender and a fork! It’s super refreshing and a great summer dessert. Also, there is no added sugar in this recipe which makes it even better!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz frozen strawberries

  • 1/4 large watermelon (about 5-6 CUPS cubed watermelon)

  • 1/2 lime (squeezed)

  • 1/8 TSP lime zest

Directions

  • Cut the watermelon into small cubes. Then, add the cubed watermelon and frozen strawberries to the blender.
  • Add the lime zest and lime juice to the blender.
  • Blend until everything is thoroughly combined. Place in a freezer-safe container with a lid and freeze for 3-4 hours. Scrape the granita with a fork every hour to break up the hard chunks and enjoy!
