What’s better than crispy roasted brussels sprouts that are soft and tender on the inside? Roasted brussels sprouts are such an easy and flavorful side dish! Also, we’ve taken these brussels sprouts to the next level by making a sauce to go with them. These are by far the best roasted brussels sprouts and they are kid-approved!

Ella wasn’t always very fond of brussels sprouts, but after she tried these she couldn’t get enough of them! Ella loves adding some chopped bacon to her brussels sprouts and I love adding some dried cranberries to mine. Once you try these roasted brussels sprouts and the delicious sauce you won’t want to make them any other way.

How To Roast Brussels Sprouts In The Oven

These roasted brussels sprouts are super easy to make and packed with flavor! First, thoroughly wash the brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Then, slice the sweet onion into quarters and separate the onion pieces.

On a sheet pan with parchment paper lightly spray the face side up brussels sprouts and onions with olive oil. Also, sprinkle with salt and garlic powder. Flip the brussels sprouts so that they are face-side down and spray lightly spray them with olive oil again. Then, sprinkle the remaining salt and garlic powder. After that, make the sauce while the brussels sprouts are baking.

To make the sauce combine the 0 fat Greek yogurt, light mayonnaise, and stone-ground mustard. Once the brussels sprouts are cooked add them to a bowl and combine the sauce. These brussels sprouts are delicious served warm or cold!

Yes, brussels sprouts should be cut before roasting. They should be cut in half lengthwise. Also, you can cut off the ends of the brussels sprouts if you want.

Can I Roast Brussels Sprouts Ahead Of Time?
We love enjoying these roasted brussels sprouts warm out of the oven. However, they can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. They taste delicious cold as well!

ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS

Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts
- 1 small sweet onion
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- olive oil spray
- 1/4 cup 0-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon light mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons stone-ground mustard
- 1 tablespoon chopped bacon or dried sweetened cranberries, optional
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash the brussels sprouts. Then, cut them in half. Optional: Cut the ends off the brussels sprouts.
- Slice the sweet onion into quarters. Separate the onion pieces.
- Place the brussels sprouts face up on a sheet pan with parchment paper. Also, add the separated onion pieces to the sheet pan. Lightly spray with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and garlic powder. Then, flip the Brussels sprouts cut side down so that they caramelize. Lightly spray them with olive oil and sprinkle them with the remaining salt and garlic powder. Bake at 400℉ for 35-40 minutes.
- Make the sauce while the brussels sprouts are cooking. Combine the 0-fat Greek yogurt, light mayonnaise, and stone-ground mustard.
- After the brussels sprouts are cooked, add them to a bowl and combine the sauce. You can serve these brussels sprouts warm or put them in the refrigerator and serve them chilled. Both options are delicious! Optional: Top them with chopped bacon or dried sweetened cranberries.
