Step 3: Carefully remove the foil, spray each potato with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Air fry uncovered, until the skin is golden and crispy and the potatoes are soft and tender inside.

Step 4: Once done, let the potatoes slightly cool. Make a lengthwise cut down the center, gently fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.

How Long for Two Baked Potatoes in the Air Fryer
Cook two potatoes loosely wrapped in foil in the air fryer at 400°F for 25-30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and cook them for an additional 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the skin is crispy.
Tips for the Best Air Fryer Baked Potatoes
- The Best Potatoes to Use: It’s best to use russet potatoes for the fluffiest interior and best texture. Try to pick potatoes that are roughly the same size so they cook at the same rate.
- Dry the Potatoes: After washing, thoroughly dry the potatoes so the skins get crispy.
- Foil: Wrapping the potatoes in foil helps create an ultra-fluffy interior, then carefully unwrapping them for a final air fry gives them a crispy skin.
- Don’t Overcrowd: Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed, depending on how many potatoes you’re making.
- Season: You can season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, or your favorite herbs for extra flavor.
