How To Make Apple Tart With Phyllo Dough
This apple tart recipe is easy to make! First, thaw out the frozen phyllo dough sheets in the refrigerator the night before making this recipe. Or, let the phyllo dough sheets sit for a few hours at room temperature the day of making the recipe.
Then, evenly slice the apples and place them in a large bowl. After that, add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the bowl with the apples and mix. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar or golden monk fruit, nutmeg, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Next, melt the light butter and use it to evenly coat all of the phyllo sheets. Make sure that each phyllo sheet is buttered. On the final sheet of phyllo dough, add the cinnamon sugar combination and evenly spread it out. Then, place the apples next to each other horizontally. After that, combine the apricot jam and water in a bowl. Use it to spread on top of the apples.
Bake the apple tart and enjoy!
Tips For Making Apple Tart
Which Jam To Use For Glazed Apple Tart
This apple tart recipe is delicious with the apricot glaze! We spread some apricot jam on top of the apples before baking them. This added an amazing sweet flavor to the recipe. If you don’t have apricot jam, feel free to substitute it for orange marmalade, pear jam, or quince paste. All of these will work perfectly in this recipe and complement the flavors of the apples! Also, we mixed the jam with one teaspoon of water to thin it out. If your jam is not thin enough to spread, you can add a little bit more water.
