Can I Make Avocado Crema Ahead Of Time?

While you can make this crema ahead of time, it’s not recommended, as it may start to go brown the longer it sits out or sits in the fridge. We recommend making it when you are going to serve it. Plus, it’s super easy to whip up in the blender in about five minutes.

How Long Will Avocado Crema Last?

This avocado crema will last up to two days from making it when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It is best enjoyed fresh after making it.

Will Avocado Crema Turn Brown?

If not enjoyed fresh after making it, avocado crema may start to turn brown. However, to prevent this from happening, you can place a piece of plastic wrap over top and keep it stored in an airtight container in the fridge. Or, add a small splash of lime juice over the top.

Do I Have To Use A Ripe Avocado?

Yes, you have to use a ripe avocado to make this crema. If you need your avocado to ripen quicker, place it in a brown paper bag with an apple or a banana and keep the bag at room temperature. This will help speed up the ripening process.

Can You Freeze Avocado Crema?

I don’t recommend freezing this avocado crema because it will alter the texture of the crema. You want the texture of the crema to be smooth and creamy. However, you can refrigerate this crema if needed.
