How To Make Healthy Guacamole

Healthy guacamole ingredients

To make the best ever easy and healthy guacamole, start by cutting the jalapeño in half and removing the seeds. Then, finely chop the jalapeño and add it to the bowl. Next, squeeze half of a lime into the bowl and crush a clove of garlic. After that, add the salt and diced onion to the bowl. Additionally, finely chop the cilantro and add it to the bowl. Then, remove the seeds from the tomatoes and finely chop them. In another bowl, mash the avocados and add the 0 fat Greek yogurt. After that, add the ingredients from the other bowl and combine everything.

Tips For This Easy Guacamole Recipe

Start With Ripe Avocados To Make Guacamole

To make guacamole, start with ripe avocados that are ready to go. If you need your avocados to ripen faster, you can place them in a brown paper bag with a banana. The gas released from the banana will help ripen the avocados. Also, make sure not to buy overly mushy avocados. Additionally, if you’re not ready to make guacamole, store your avocados in the refrigerator because it slows down the ripening process until you are ready to use them.

How To Keep Guacamole From Getting Brown

To keep guacamole from getting brown, put it in an air-tight container. We like this Guacamole Prokeeper with an air-tight lid. It helps keep the guacamole fresh and it keeps the air out with an adjustable lid. Also, the lime in this recipe helps keep the guacamole from turning brown.

How To Store Guacamole

It’s best to eat guacamole right after making it, but it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days in an air-tight container.

Does Guacamole Freeze Well?

Yes, guacamole freezes well and can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. To defrost the guacamole, place it in the refrigerator overnight.

Hi, yes, you can use parsley as a substitute for cilantro in your guacamole, or you can just omit it altogether. I hope you enjoy!
