Our top choice for kombucha is GT’s Kombucha because we can’t get enough of their incredible flavors! I love that they don’t add any extra sugar to their kombucha. Frequently Asked Questions
Is There Alcohol In Kombucha?
Raw kombucha naturally ferments and produces alcohol as a natural deterrent against contamination. The alcohol content in kombucha varies based on the fermentation time and storage conditions. Generally, commercially available kombuchas must have an alcohol content below 0.5% to be considered non-alcoholic. GT’s Kombucha typically meets this standard, but it depends on the batch and flavor. Also, improper storage can cause an increase in alcohol content in kombucha over time. If you are concerned, check the product label or contact the manufacturer for more information.
Can I Mix Sparkling Water and Kombucha?
Yes! We love making mocktails by combining sparkling water and kombucha. The sparkling water helps keep the mocktail bubbly. You can experiment with your favorite flavored sparkling water, as well.
How Much Sparkling Water Should I Add?
We like to combine kombucha with some sparkling water. You can do the same amount of kombucha and sparkling water or add less sparkling water for a more intense kombucha flavor. You can easily adjust these mocktails to your liking.
Can I Mix Kombucha With Alcohol?
Yes! If you prefer to make kombucha cocktails rather than mocktails, try one of our combinations and mix in 1-2 ounces of vodka, gin, or your preferred liquor.
How Long Does Kombucha Last Once Opened?
Since many of these mocktails do not use the entire bottle of kombucha, you may have some leftovers. Leave it in the bottle with the lid on and store it in the refrigerator. Then, enjoy the kombucha within 2-3 days of opening the bottle. It may lose some of its effervescence once opened and stored.
