Ingredients for a Christmas Prosecco cocktail
  • Prosecco: Make this cocktail with chilled Prosecco. Use your favorite brand of Prosecco.
  • Pomegranate Juice: Freeze the pomegranate juice in an ice cube tray.
  • Orange Juice: Freeze some orange juice in an ice cube tray.
  • Cranberries: Optional: Add fresh cranberries, orange slices, pomegranate arils, or rosemary sprigs to the ice cube tray for a beautiful presentation.

How To Make A Christmas Prosecco Cocktail

Expert Tips

  • Freeze The Juice Cubes: Pour the pomegranate and orange juice into separate ice cube trays and freeze them so they are ready to go. It is convenient to have the juice cubes on hand so you can easily make this cocktail.
  • Chill The Prosecco: While the juice cubes will help keep this cocktail cold, it is best to use chilled Prosecco.
  • Make More Juice Cubes: We recommend making many juice cubes to have them on hand. They make an excellent addition to sparkling water whenever you want to make a mocktail!
  • Pomegranate or Orange: Make pomegranate or orange ice cubes. You can make either one or both! It depends on what flavor you want in your cocktail.

Prosecco Cocktail Variations

  • Use Champagne Instead: Make this cocktail with champagne instead of Prosecco.
  • Add Juice Instead: If you don’t want to freeze the juice in an ice cube tray, chill it and add it to the chilled Prosecco when making the cocktail. You can pour two ounces of juice into the champagne glass or add two frozen fruit ice cubes.
  • Add More Fruit Juice Cubes: I have found that two frozen fruit juice cubes infuse the Prosecco with flavor. The amount of juice cubes to add depends on how much pomegranate or orange flavor you want in your cocktail. Customize this cocktail and add fewer or more juice cubes.
  • Add Fresh Cranberries: For a festive and beautiful touch, add fresh cranberries, orange slices, or pomegranate arils to the ice cube trays before freezing the juice. Or, add them to the cocktail.
  • Make It A Mocktail: Make this cocktail a non-alcoholic mocktail by replacing the Prosecco with sparkling water, flavored sparkling water, sparkling grape juice, or sparkling apple cider.
  • Make More: If serving a crowd, adjust this recipe to make as many cocktails or mocktails as you need.

Made this with pomegranate juice ice cubes for a gathering with friends. Everyone enjoyed them! So pretty & festive! I had leftover ice cubes which I’ve been enjoying with seltzer water at dinner each evening! Thank you for an impressive yet easy cocktail to serve for the holidays!
